- ➤ Human remains were discovered in the 5400 block of U.S. 90 West in Vinton around 7 a.m. June 16th—detectives, the Forensic Investigation Unit, and Vinton Police processed the scene while the Coroner’s Office took the remains for further testing. The American Press

- ➤ The Lake Charles Community Band held its interactive summer show Fright Night at 6 p.m. on Monday at the Rosa Heart Theater in the Lake Charles Event Center where audience members wore Halloween costumes.
