- ➤ From Dec. 5 through Dec. 23, Urban Air Adventure Park in Lake Charles will give away 1,000 free Platinum birthday party certificates to licensed Southwest Louisiana teachers—teachers must visit the park in person with valid credentials to claim the certificate, with options to upgrade at regular rates. 7 KPLC
- ➤ SOWELA stresses that academic advising is a vital tool for returning and transfer students to plan their college career and set clear goals. - ➤ Chennault International Airport in Lake Charles was awarded a $20.9M FEMA grant to build a new hangar that will create over 100 high-paying jobs and attract new businesses. - ➤ The Louisiana Department of Insurance is hosting an insurance pop-up office at Lake Charles City Hall today from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the first floor of Pioneer Hall + experts will help residents understand auto policies, discounts, and wind surveys by answering their insurance questions. 7 KPLC
