- ➤ Lake Charles' Millennium Park added bongos to its outdoor instrument collection led by This Is Home Fest + the City of Lake Charles and the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana, joining a tradition that began with a colossus chime last year. - ➤ Abigail Welch Lee—a 2014 Hathaway High School graduate—has been chosen as one of 300 volunteers to decorate the White House for Christmas. - ➤ The McNeese Cowboys closed out their season on Saturday with a loss by a score of zero to seven against the Lamar Cardinals at Provost Umphrey Stadium. Lamar scored a touchdown in the first quarter that set the pace for the game. 7 KPLC
- ➤ Lake Charles College Prep defeated Leesville 42-23 on November 22 with a strong defense led by Treavon Ardoin, which kept the opposing team out of the red zone after a close start.
