- ➤ Southwest Louisiana residents with high utility bills may get help through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program if they qualify by income—applications are accepted in person at 2001 Moeling St. on Friday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to Noon on November 14, December 5, December 12, and December 19. - ➤ Homeowners in SWLA can apply today for one of 1,000 fortified roof grants, as Commissioner Tim Temple announced that the lottery process will help improve roof strength against wind and water damage. Applicants must register on the LFHP website — even those with existing profiles — during the registration period to be randomly selected. Gator 99.5
