- ➤ Every Tuesday, from 3 to 6 p.m., local vendors bring fresh items and unique local flavors to the Lake Charles Farm and Table Market at BrickHouse on 110 W Pine Street. Owner Jason Perkins said the market grew organically since its launch in February—drawing a steady crowd with items not found in regular stores. 7 KPLC

- ➤ U.S. LNG exports reached a record high of 9.4 million metric tons in September, with Louisiana accounting for 61% of the shipments while 81 LNG tankers left local export terminals between Sept. 3 and Oct. 1. Louisiana facilities, including Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass—the world’s largest export terminal—played a key role in driving strong sales to Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. - ➤ Louisiana doctors treating Medicaid patients will soon receive payments at 85% of Medicare rates—after lawmakers approved increased funding earlier this year to expand care and attract more providers. The funding totals $258 million from state and federal dollars and will also raise rates for behavioral health professionals to improve access to care. The Advocate

- ➤ McNeese State’s basketball arena was renamed Townsley Law Arena after four seasons of success when Athletic Director Heath Schroyer held an unveiling ceremony Tuesday morning with Cowboy fans & community leaders present. The naming rights were secured in a 15-year, $4.5 million deal with Townsley Law Firm for the $41 million arena that opened in 2018 and was renovated following hurricanes Laura & Delta. - ➤ The Cowboys lost 38-0 to Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday night before starting their bye week, marking the worst home shutout loss in program history — leaving them 1-5 for the season.
