- ➤ Plans for an online shotgun shell assembly business near Hathaway received preliminary approval from the Jeff Davis Police Jury’s zoning commission and will move to a full police jury vote after a 5 p.m. public hearing on Wednesday, October 8—held in the meeting room at 304 N. State Street in Jennings. Damon Hebert intends to operate the business online from a property on La. 26, located 1.75 miles from Hathaway High School while meeting all state fire and safety codes.
