EDUCATION NEWS

  • ➤ John J. Johnson II Elementary held a homecoming celebration Friday where students toured the school, met teachers, received supplies and lunch as the school began its reconfiguration into a K-5 campus merging with Ralph Wilson following a board decision in April. Principal Marlana Collins said preparations over two years will lead to doubling enrollment from 134 to 258 with the school reaching full capacity on August 8—steps that set a new era for the community.  The American Press
