- ➤ Lake Charles Police investigated a homicide that occurred over the weekend in the 200 block of North 1st Avenue when officers arrived just before 6 p.m. Sunday and found a subject with a gunshot wound — detectives are following all leads and urge anyone with useful information to come forward. - ➤ Gov. Jeff Landry announced Monday that Louisianans can now use the LA Wallet app as a digital ID at TSA checkpoints nationwide—including over 250 airports and federal facilities. The digital ID will be approved for three years and must be used with a compliant physical ID—state officials said a new driver’s license system is also in the works to reduce long lines.
