- ➤ Gov. Landry and Attorney General Murrill have sued CVS and its pharmacy benefit manager for allegedly using customer data to send texts that aimed to sway votes—one such message warned customers of looming store closures. The governor said the lawsuit follows his public criticism of CVS’s tactics and warned that a special legislative session may be held to address these practices. 7 KPLC
- ➤ Three lawmakers joined a Public Affairs Research Council webinar last week to discuss HB 264, which passed to force pharmacy benefit managers to pass rebates to customers, and HB 358, which stalled amid concerns over its long delay before taking effect—lawmakers also warned that steep Medicaid funding cuts could trigger a special session to avert immediate health care disruptions.
