- ➤ South Louisiana author Jordan LaHaye Fontenot published her true crime memoir yesterday at the Elton Library, detailing the 1983 kidnapping and murder of her great-grandfather in Evangeline Parish (she spent nearly eight years interviewing relatives and reviewing records to piece together the story).
