- ➤ Texas country star Pat Green will perform at the Grand Event Center in Golden Nugget on Saturday, August 29. Tickets went on sale yesterday at 10:00 a.m.—guests must be 21 or older and note that smoking or recording devices are not allowed. Gator 99.5
- ➤ The I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles displays 5,286 crossed pistol designs that have sparked local fascination and childhood memories, and some residents hope parts of the aging structure—cherished over decades—will be donated for charity. Gator 99.5

- ➤ The Allen Parish School Board will launch its summer feeding program on Tuesday, June 2 at Kinder Elementary School, Oberlin High School and Oakdale Elementary School. Families can register online to receive a seven-day shelf-stable meal box weekly until July 21. The American Press

- ➤ Beginning May 26, Louisiana SNAP recipients will use their EBT cards only for purchases made within the state and in ZIP codes adjacent to the border + a policy announced by the Department of Health. 7 KPLC

- ➤ McNeese Cowboys Football season ticket renewals and new sales are available as the team gears up for the 2026 season, which includes six home games and a key Oct. 3 matchup at LSU in Baton Rouge; tickets can be purchased at the Doland Fieldhouse in Lake Charles or by phone. Gator 99.5
- ➤ The Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators announced two free admission nights to kick off the 2026 season, hosting opening night at the Jeaux on Tuesday, June 2 and a Youth Sports Night on Thursday, June 4 in Lake Charles. Gator 99.5
