- ➤ Lake Charles locals remember cruising Ryan Street in the 80s and early 90s when booming car stereo systems like Punch and Kicker filled evenings with hits from Beastie Boys, Stevie B, and more. - ➤ Lamar’s Lady Cardinals edged past McNeese 7–6 Friday at Joe Miller Field to force a deciding third game in the Southland Conference Championship Series, propelled by Wessling’s 3-run homer; they will play today at 6 p.m. for a chance at their first-ever SLC title. The American Press
