- ➤ An inclusive prom at the Event Center drew 300+ attendees on May 1, 2026, showcasing a celebration of diversity and inclusion in our community. 7 KPLC
- ➤ Rev. Robert P. Boxie III, a Lake Charles native and former parishioner at Sacred Heart of Jesus, has been named one of two auxiliary bishops for Washington by Pope Leo XIV; he will be the nation’s youngest Catholic bishop at age 45 (a milestone for our community). 7 KPLC

- ➤ Family, friends, and former students gathered Thursday at Our Lady Immaculate Catholic School’s library to dedicate a bronze braille American flag plaque honoring late librarian Martha Marcantel, who spent 28 years shaping the school’s library.
