- ➤ Live at the Lakefront returns this Saturday, April 11 at a new location between Port Wonder and Crying Eagle. Texas-based alternative rock band Uncle Lucius will headline the free festival running from noon to 10 p.m.—it also features a kids zone, art vendors, food trucks, and free parking. 7 KPLC

- ➤ United Way of Southwest Louisiana will present its revised downtown expansion plan at City Hall Monday at 5 p.m. The updated design for its building on Ryan Street uses facade adjustments to meet SmartCode rules and ensure fair treatment for similar projects. The American Press
- ➤ Sheriff Sam Craft was inducted into the Louisiana Justice Hall of Fame Tuesday, Apr. 7 to honor his long service in law enforcement. The ceremony recognized his dedication to community safety and his contributions to local government. 7 KPLC
