CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A man, Blake A. Arabie, 33, was arrested today in Lake Charles following a March 27 indictment for allegedly inappropriately touching a young girl starting when she was 5—he was previously convicted in North Carolina for sexual offenses involving a minor and had tried to evade arrest. 7 KPLC
- ➤ Jaquaileen L. Victorian, 22, allegedly cut a fence to steal dirt bikes from a business on Kirkman Street on March 24 and was later seen driving one of the bikes before detectives located him on March 27 with two bikes, and he now faces charges including theft, burglary, attempted motor vehicle theft and criminal damage (bond set at $114,500) as the investigation continues. 7 KPLC
- ➤ The pre-trial conference for Jennings mother Hannah Faith Cormier, 32, who is accused of leaving her 10-month-old daughter in a hot car, has been moved from Monday to July 15—District Attorney Lauren Heinen confirmed. The American Press

- ➤ Lake Charles is now home to the Louisiana Vietnam State Veterans Memorial in Veterans Memorial Park on Lakeshore Drive.
