- ➤ Andrew Dalton, a McNeese student, reintroduced The Big Event, a day for residents to get help with spring cleaning tasks such as painting and window washing set for April 18. Over 100 volunteers will join the effort (residents within a 25-mile radius can sign up) to build lasting community connections. 7 KPLC
- ➤ On April 11, First Presbyterian Church Lake Charles will host a one-day collection drive for wheelchairs, walkers, canes & crutches from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4590 Corbina Road, and will offer a free 'From Awareness to Action' workshop for local church leaders from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The American Press
