  • Lake Charles has adjusted trash collection times due to office closures (Good Friday) so that trash usually picked up on Friday will be collected on Thursday, April 2 and trash normally picked up on Thursday will be collected on Wednesday, April 1 while services resume on Monday, April 6.  Gator 99.5
  • Lt. Ryan Tarver of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office graduated from the FBI National Academy, joining only 1% of senior law enforcement officials worldwide. He has served with the department since 2015, reflecting his steady commitment to local safety.  7 KPLC
  • State lawmakers advanced two bills on Thursday to boost enforcement of imported seafood laws by letting the Department of Agriculture inspect records and seize mislabeled products. The measures aim to protect the local seafood industry and consumer health statewide.  7 KPLC
