- ➤ The Rum Revival Grand Tasting Festival returns to Lake Charles Saturday, March 28 at the Golden Nugget (3:00-7:00 p.m.), offering cocktail contests, samples of rums and tequilas, and Caribbean-inspired food that showcase the tropical spirit of the event. Gator 99.5

- ➤ The EPA's new guidelines on ethylene oxide emissions took effect on March 18 and set updated controls for 23 plants (including one in Lake Charles).
