  • Cookers will compete for $500 prizes at the Iowa Rabbit Festival cook-off on Saturday, Mar. 21 at the Burton Complex. Teams must check in at 7:30 a.m., cooking starts at 8:30 a.m. + live music fills the day.  Gator 99.5
  • A new article revisits the iconic 1980s spots that shaped childhood memories for locals in Lake Charles, with stories of favorite hangouts (like Skate City and The Cover Up on Ryan Street).   • The Cowgirls cut down the nets Monday night at Townsley Law Arena after a 27-point win over SFA, with Arianna Patton hitting a record 10 3-pointers (a career-high 30 points) to secure the victory; they will host the SLC Tournament next week.  The American Press
  • Larry Johnson broke McNeese’s freshman scoring record with 25 points in the Cowboys' 75-65 win over Nicholls on Monday, Mar. 2. The Cowboys are now 26-5 overall & 19-3 in Southland and will enter the SLC Tournament as the No. 2 seed.  The American Press
  • McNeese kept their title hopes alive with a 66-63 win over the Privateers Saturday in New Orleans — they will face Nicholls on Monday at 6:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network at Stopher Gymnasium in Thibodaux as they chase a conference title.  Gator 99.5
