ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Safety upgrades at the I-10 detour in Westlake have effectively stopped truck crashes since Feb. 4, according to Westlake Police and DOTD — the improvements include rumble strips, improved signage, stop signs, and a 119-decibel siren that alerts approaching trucks, with costs falling on drivers. 7 KPLC

- ➤ Several local churches provided Ashes-to-Go services on Ash Wednesday, allowing parishioners to quickly receive their ashes outside of traditional services (many adapted their schedules for those with busy mornings). 7 KPLC
