- ➤ An NTSB investigator is heading to the crash site near Sabine Pass, Texas where a Beechcraft A36 crashed on Thursday, killing local businessman Carl J. Krielow; his body was recovered Friday + the wreckage will be moved for further review with a preliminary report expected within 30 days. The American Press

- ➤ Jay Leno (the TV legend) will perform his comedy act at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles today at 8 p.m. Fans can enjoy his blend of humor, classic car passion, and nostalgic TV stories. Gator 99.5
- ➤ The ACTS Theatre is hosting Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, a comedy about bridesmaids finding unexpected connections, today at 7:30 p.m. and again Sunday at 2:30 p.m. (1 Reid St). The American Press

- ➤ Multiple insurers including Allstate, Geico, State Farm, and Liberty Mutual filed for auto insurance rate decreases statewide since mid-2025, a change that could lower bills for policy holders. Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple advised drivers to shop for insurance and said more changes are expected (with new laws taking effect). 7 KPLC
